Junior Researcher

Master’s degree – Novosibirsk State University, 2016 (History). Junior Researcher of the Lab of Digital Archaeology (https://archaeology.nsc.ru/sotrudniki/person/marchenko-d-v/) in the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Science. She is currently working on her PhD dissertation, studying spatial patterns of findings at the Paleolithic sites in Northern and Central Mongolia. She focuses on the sites with slope deposits and uses digital methods in her work. As a student she participated in fieldwork at the Kostenki 11 and Kamennaya Balka in Russia. Being part of Russian-Mongolian-American team she worked at the Tolbor-21, Orkhon-1, Orkhon-7 and Moiltyn am sites in Mongolia. Her research interests include archaeological site structure in Upper Paleolithic, cluster analysis, post-depositional processes in cultural layers, fabric analysis and stratigraphy of slope deposits.
