In 2023, Dasha defended her Ph.D. dissertation on spatial patterning of cultural materials at Paleolithic sites in northern and central Mongolia. Her work focuses on sites with slope deposits and uses digital methods to generate data and interpretations. While a student, Dasha participated in fieldwork at the Kostenki 11 and Kamennaya Balka sites in Russia. As part of the Russian-Mongolian-American team, she has also worked at the Tolbor-21, Orkhon-1, Orkhon-7, Tsagaan Agui Cave, and Moiltyn-am sites in Mongolia. Her research interests include archaeological site structures in the Upper Paleolithic, cluster analysis, post-depositional processes in cultural layers, fabric analysis, and stratigraphy of slope deposits.
