Senior Researcher, Laboratory of Mesozoic and Cenozoic Geology, Institute of the Earth’s Crust, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk. Alexei is the leading paleontologist on numerous projects investigating Middle and Upper Paleolithic sites in Transbaikalia, Cis-Baikalia, and the Yenisei River Basin. He has been a member of our Mongolian project since 2018 and has described the faunal assemblages from the Tolbor-4, Tolbor-21, Orkhon-1, Orkhon-7, and Moiltyn-Am sites. He is a Co-Investigator of the RSF’s project. Alexei’s research interests focus on late Cenozoic large mammals, paleoecology and paleogeography of eastern Siberia and Mongolia in the Neo-Pleistocene – Holocene.
